This weekend thousands will flock to Los Angeles to attend the first Indie Beauty Expo of 2017. Debuting in 2015, IBE was founded by celebrity esthetician, Jillian Wright, and entrepreneur, Nader Naeymi-Rad, to connect indie brands with buyers, press, and shoppers. The three-day event has specific tracks for each type of attendee:
Indie brands are growing in popularity within salons and spas and with “every day” beauty fans. For salon & spas that are looking to add new lines, the Indie Beauty Expo can help you test out products, learn about brands you’ve never heard of before, and narrow down the list of brands you were considering.
Beyond seeing what new fragrance Thorn & Bloom is launching in 2017, the expo provides real business tools and strategies that beauty pros can use every day. Presentations cover everything from nutrition and ingestibles (one of the industry’s fastest growing product categories) to introducing indie lines into the product mix. And the best part? You get to see exactly what products will begin trending in the next year, allowing you to get ahead of the competition.
Although it might be too late to book a flight to LA for this weekend, the expo will travel to both Dallas and New York this summer:
