One of the many amazing characteristics of the beauty industry is the generosity and passion that professionals in the field possess. Meet  Runee Turner and Geri Saulino from Hesperia, Calafornia. Turner served as a cosmetology instructor for several years, and recently decided not to renew her contract last fall. She wanted to turn her attention to helping graduates learn the ins and outs of the industry. She teamed up with Saulino and rented a space where they now mentor students who are straight out of school and don't have any clients yet. 

Turner says, “It’s me and Geri’s passion to help the kids who can legally work but don’t have any clients yet...This is a great way for them to get new customers and also gain experience in every aspect of the business."

One of the most important lessons that Turner and Saulino teach their stylists is giving back to the community. Every last Friday of the month, the stylists volunteer their time at the local thrift shopping giving free haircuts to the less fortunate. “The good that you do will return to you in many ways and I believe that is one of life’s most important lessons.", says Turner.
