Artist Bio

Dean Banowetz
After owning and operating a full-service salon in Bettendorf, IA, Dean made the big move to Los Angeles, where he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated series Extra. He attended the On Set Motion Picture Hair Academy in Santa Monica to specialize in Hollywood hair tricks of the trade and to refine his practice. <BR />In the summer of 2002, Dean took a job on the little-known American Idol Search for a Superstar TV series on FOX, where he was mainly responsible for styling Ryan Seacrest, as well as all of the contestants. Since then, he has worked on six seasons of American Idol, and he has worked on Dancing With The Stars, as well as many others. Now The X Factor USA is his current project.<BR />Before becoming a stylist, Dean was enlisted in the U.S. Army achieving multiple medals and awards during his service.
Carlos Cintron
Recognized for his exceptional Hairdressing and presentation skills, Carlos is among the world's foremost hair stylist. He rose to prominence by becoming the 2002-2003 Hairdresser of the Year at the world renowned Toni&Guy.<BR /><BR />He's worked at some of the top runway shows as both stylist and consultant, including Badgley Mischka, Narciso Rodriguez, Custo Barcelona, Christopher Kane, Millie, Richard Chai, Lacoste, Catherine Malandrino, Chris Benz, Pringles, Halston, Nicole Miller, Mark Fast, Yigal Azrouel and Saro.<BR /><BR />In 2011 he won the Texture category at the North America Hairstyling Awards and was a finalist for Hairstylist of the Year. He has appeared on national TV doing makeovers and his work has been published in high fashion and editorial magazines such as Numero, Nylon, Marie Claire, and Spanish Vogue among others. His clients have included celebrities and some of the fashion industries top models.
Theodore Leaf
Theodore Leaf has been featured on NBC's 'Fashion Star', E! Network's 'Fashion Police' and Style Networks 'How Do I Look?'. He is also the youngest contestant ever on Bravo Network's 'Shear Genius'. Theodore has produced numerous tutorials available on YouTube which have reached over 1,000,000 views. He is currently based at Sally Hershberger Salon in Los Angeles, CA.
Charlie Price
Charlie Price is one of the most recognizable faces in the North American salon industry. His performances as a popular platform artist and educator are filled with smart soundbites, useful information and quick easy techniques for the salon, all delivered in his fun irreverent style. Charlie has had his photo work published world wide and has collaborated with Haircare manufacturers such as Aveda, Revlon Professional, TIGI, Roux, Rusk and now he is the International Creative Consultant for Scruples Haircare. Price is also known for having won many industry awards. He is a two time NAHA North American Hairstylist of the Year award winner in 2002 and 2008 (the first American to do so), the first ever NAHA People's Choice award winner in 2011 (he has a career total of 23 NAHA nominations) and he was named Canadian Mirror Awards International Hairstylist of the Year in 2007 (a title which he has been nominated for 6 times). Charlie trained under runway hair masters Guido, Serge Normant and Eugene Souleiman in Milan on fashion shows such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and miu miu, and in NYC on fashion shows such as DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. He went on to be lead hairstylist at NY fashion week for designers such as Peter Som, Jeremy Scott, Imitation of Christ, Catherine Malandrino, Matthew Williamson, Cynthia Rowley, Benjamin Cho, Charlotte Ronson and Jason Wu among many others. Charlie also made a memorable appearance as the villain on Shear Genius 2 for Bravo TV which aired in 22 countries.
Jasmine Gibbs
Jasmine started her career in Garden City, NY, where she attended Paul Mitchell Cactus Academy. Her tenacity and talent won her recognition at PBA's Beacon 2010 and Redken's Road to NAHA competitions. Mentored by industry icon, winner and 7 time nominee of NAHA, Kris Sorbie, Jasmine mastered cutting edge styling techniques and won NAHA 2012 texture award. One of Jasmine's most sought after signature styles is extensions. Her work also includes bridal, editorial, and precision cutting.
Meagan Herrera
Meagan Herrera has worked behind the scenes of some of Hollywood's biggest television and feature-film hits. Her work includes American Idol (where she began working at only 19 years-old), Hunger Games, The Hangover 2, The Voice and more.
